1. Make sure your computer meets the minimum specifications for your version of Peachtree.
2. Delete unneeded data from closed financial years.
3. Turn off Smart Data Entry options (under Options > Global)
4. Turn off Recalculate Cash Balance Automatically (under Options > Global)
5. Close other programs that are running.
6. Make sure you have at least 100 MB of free hard drive space.
