How to add lines,headers/subtotals to invoices/quotes
With MYOB BusinessBasics, MYOB Accounting, MYOB Accounting Plus, MYOB Premier and MYOB AccountEdge you can add lines, headers or subtotals to invoices or quotes. This makes it easy to separate and subtotal different categories of a sale or purchase. For example, a purchase might have a materials component and a time component. This feature lets you add a subtotal line for each component, giving your customers a quick breakdown of costs. Here are ways to use this feature.
To insert a blank line
1. Position the mouse pointer anywhere on the invoice/purchase line above which you want the blank line to appear.
2. Go to "Edit" menu and choose "Insert Line".
To insert a header and group several invoice/purchase lines
1. Position the cursor on the invoice/purchase line above which you want the header to appear.
2. Go to the "Edit" menu and choose "Insert Header". A blank line will appear in the scrolling list with the cursor positioned in the "Description" column.
3. Type the text for the header. (The text will appear in grey.)
To insert a subtotal
1. Position the mouse pointer on the first line below the invoice/purchase lines to be subtotalled.
2. Go to the "Edit" menu and choose "Insert Subtotal". A line will appear, displaying the subtotal of all the invoice/purchase lines above it.
To delete a blank line, line item, header or subtotal
1. Position the mouse pointer anywhere on the blank line, line item, header or subtotal you want to delete.
2. Go to the "Edit" menu and choose "Delete Line".
