Belajar Zahir Accounting (Dasar)

Ternyata menggunakan program Zahir Accounting itu mudah dan menyenangkan. Tak perlu harus lulusan akuntansi, orang awampun akan mudah untuk menjalankannya. Sebelum kita mulai belajar Zahir Accounting kita bisa mendownload dulu versi demo-nya di situs resminya. Versi demo ini dapat digunakan selama 1 bulan dengan beberapa fitur yang dibatasi penggunaannya.

Asumsi dalam belajar Zahir ini saya menggunakan versi Zahir Accounting DEMO Build 11. Setelah file kita didownload kita ekstrak dan diinstal. Tak usah khawatir cara penginstallan cukup mudah tinggal klik file setup up kemudian tekan tombol next aja terus sampai proses selesai, kecuali jika kita ingin mengkustom sendiri proses instalasinya juga boleh. Selanjutnya kita aktifkan programnya. Untuk mempelajari zahir accounting ada beberapa tips untuk memudahkan pembelajaran ini.

Tips Belajar Zahir Accounting (Dasar)

Bagi yang sudah memahami dasar-dasar akuntansi bisa langsung belajar lewat tombol manual, atau melihat contoh file yang udah ada dengan mengklik tombol ZAHIR SAMPLE. Sedangkan bagi yang belum mengenal dasar-dasar akuntansi sebaiknya masuk ke manual dulu kemudian cari content Teori Dasar Akuntansi, tak perlu berkecil hati jika masih bingung tentang akuntansi yang penting dibaca dulu nanti akan memahami sambil jalan dengan latihan menjalankan programnya, OK!
Setelah melihat manual dan file contohnya (zahir sample) maka kita dapat mencoba membuat data file data baru. Untuk membuat data baru akan saya jelaskan pada postingan selanjutnya.

How to use Jobs feature in MYOB Accounting?
You can use the Jobs feature in your MYOB Accounting to keep accurate and detailed records of your jobs and profit centres. Let’s assume that Clearwater Pty Ltd, our tutorial company, is part way through installing fifty water filters at the Island Way Hotel. This job has already been set up in our company file. The Edit Job window shown here displays information about the job, such as the start date, percentage completed, finish date and so on.

You can use the Jobs feature to simply keep track of your various jobs or to perform advanced functions such as set budgets by account for each job, track job expenses for customer reimbursables, analyse profit and loss for jobs, and much more.

Let’s assume that in order to install the water filters in Island Way Hotel, we had to purchase fifty wall brackets. We will assign this purchase to the job so that we can keep track of expenses for customer reimbursement when the job is complete.

Go to the Purchases command centre and click Enter Purchases. The Purchases window is displayed.
Enter the supplier’s name and date as shown.
Enter 50 in the Received column.
Enter 200-897B5 in the Item Number field and $4 in the Price field.
Tab to the Job column and click the search icon.
Double-click job 4980. The purchase is now allocated to thisjob.
Complete the rest of the purchase as normal and clickRecord.

An important part of managing your job activity revolves around reviewing the data that you’ve entered for your jobs and understanding its effects on your overall financial picture. Understanding the “big picture” of your job activity will help you identify income trends, recognise possible cost overruns and anticipate your company’s future revenues. The Analyse Jobs window will help you perform this important task by providing lists of your job activity.

Display the Analyse Jobs window. To do this, from any command centre, click the Analysis down arrow and choose Jobs.
Enter 4980 in the Job Number field and press TAB. Detailed information about this job appears in the Analyse Job window. You can view the progress of this job broken down by account. You can also view any budgets you have entered for this job, and compare it with the actual expenses.

1. Click Print Invoices in the Sales command centre. Make the selections shown below in the Forms Selection window. Click the Selected Form for Sale search icon.
2. Select MYOB’s Plain Paper Invoice and click Use Form. This template has been pre-customised to fit on plain A4 paper.

Click the Customise button in the Forms Selection window.
The Customise Item Sales window is displayed. You can customise the way your forms look, for example, by adding a logo or adding and removing text.

It's easy to reconcile your bank account in MYOB.
These are the tutorials:
To do this, go to the Banking command centre and click Reconcile Accounts.

Let’s reconcile the cheque account used so far in this tutorial. Although we have entered only two transactions, this will serve as an example of how spending and receiving cash relate to account reconciliation. To make the example more realistic, we will also add a bank charge to the bank statement. Let’s assume we received a bank statement dated 8/8/2002. The closing balance appearing on the statement is $24,495.
The statement shows three transactions:
A deposit of $30,000
A cheque for $5,500
A bank charge of $5

To reconcile your cheque account:
1. Select the Cheque Account by typing 1-1110 in the Account field.
2. Tab to the New Statement Balance field and enter $24,495.
3. Enter 8/8/02 in the Bank Statement Date field. Press TAB.
Notice that the out of balance amount is –$24,495, and that the two transactions we have entered appear in the scrolling list. (Only transactions dated on or before the Bank Statement Date will appear.)
Now we need to match the transactions appearing on the bank statement with those listed in the Reconcile Accounts window.
4. Click in the column to the left of the transactions, and across will appear. The Out of Balance figure should reduce to $5.
The $5 out of balance amount suggests that there is a difference of $5 between the bank statement and the cheque account in your company file. In our case, the difference of $5 is due to the bank charge not being entered in the
company file.
5. Click the Bank Entry button. The Record Service Charges and Interest Earned window is displayed.
6. Enter the service charge of $5, and select the Bank Charges expense account (6-1900). Type Bank Fee in the Memo field and click Record.
The Out of Balance amount should now be $0. This means that MYOB’s records match the bank’s records. We can be confident that the Cheque Account transactions entered in
your MYOB software are accurate.
7. Click Reconcile. A dialog appears. You can print the Reconciliation report for your records or just click Reconcile again to finish. (If we didn’t reconcile the account, we may have missed the bank charge and our chequebook would
show the incorrect balance.)
8. Click Cancel to return to the Banking command centre.

Komputer akuntansi dapat mudah diterapkan dengan Excel, dalam hal ini untuk aktivitas perusahaan yang tidak terlalu kompleks seperti perusahaan non profit. Beberapa hari ini saya masih belum selesai membantu Pak Marwondo untuk menyelesaikan sistem akuntansi untuk sebuah organisasi keagamaan. Kebetulan beliau ingin menggunakan Excel sebagai sistemnya.
Hal utama yang perlu digarisbawahi dalam sistem akuntansi perusahaan non profit adalah mengenai laporan keuangannya. Biasanya untuk laporan laba rugi digantikan dengan Laporan Aktivitas, yang akan menghasilan surplus/defisit dari transaksi pendapatan dan biaya, jadi istilah laba rugi digantikan surplus/defisit.

Pada prinsipnya sistem akuntansi yang diterapkan di Excel adalah maksimalisasi fungsi/formula dan permainan link antar sheet. Hal ini cukup mengasyikkan, apalagi jika kita punya kemampuan makro excel dan VBA tentu sistem ini akan lebih baik dan menarik.
Formula atau fungsi yang digunakan pun cukup sederhana.

Opening/Importing Database Into SPSS Using Database Wizard

You can importing database such as from mdb file (MS Access Database), Excel File, dbase File into SPSS. If data source not already displayed, you have to create a data source in order to access your data. A data source contains information about your data, including its location on disk, permissions, and the type of driver it uses. To create the data source, begin by clicking on Add Data Source. This will open a dialog box that contains several tabs. You will use the default tab, User DSN. Click Add on the left side of the box to obtain the dialog box. Now you can Importing Database into SPSS using Database Wizard.

File > Open Database > New Query
Select MS Access Database, then Next.
Browse to your data and select it. Click on Open.
Select Data, If you won't to change Limit Retreive Cash and Define Variable Wizards click Finish.

Salah satu kendala dalam pemakaian SPSS adalah masalah Interpretasi Output SPSS. Output SPSS secara umum dapat berupa text, tabel, maupun grafik dengan berbagai variasinya. Berikut tips untuk meng-interpretasikan output SPSS:

Pahami dulu teori-teori statistik yang berhubungan dengan output yang ingin dianalisis, misal, di dalam output SPSS mencantumkan nilai Pearson's Correlation, maka hendaknya kita harus tahu dulu apa itu korelasi itu, bagaimana dengan rumus Pearson, bagaimana perhitungannya, bagaimana prosedur analisisnya, maupun contoh-contoh kasusnya. Hal tersebut dapat anda temukan di buku-buku statistik.
Carilah referensi-referensi SPSS , baik dari buku-buku yang relevan, internet (misal dari blog ini :), bahkan orang lain misal rekan atau dosen anda. Hal tersebut biasanya akan membuat hasil analisis lebih terstruktur, ilmiah dan berbahasa yang lebih enak untuk dimengerti.

Simulasi monte carlo akan dapat dilakukan dengan lebih mudah dengan bantuan komputerisasi. Beberapa hari lalu Pak Darsono, rekan dosen statistik dari Poltek Bengkalis, Riau meminta bantuan untuk dicarikan software yang mendukung simulasi tersebut.
Beberapa program sebenarnya cukup representatif seperti Crystal Ball maupun @Risk, namun tentunya saja harus mengeluarkan biaya cukup mahal. Sepengetahuanku pemakai di jogja hanya Fakultas Teknik UGM yang memakai Crystal Ball. So harus cari alternatif yang lebih terjangkau, ketemu dah sebuah free add-in Excel.
Suatu keputusan tertentu umumnya berisiko, hasilnya bisa menyimpang dari yang direncanakan atau yang diharapkan. Untuk itu diperlukan suatu simulasi dengan membangkitkan suatu bilangan acak, kemudian dianalisis secara statistik. Informasi sebaran nilai akan memberikan perkiraan probabilitas dan ini sangat dibutuhkan dalam analisa risiko. Simulasi Monte Carlo pada dasarnya adalah "What If Analysis" yang dilakukan beberapa kali sehingga akan didapatkan banyak nilai yang selanjutnya dapat dicari nilai rata-rata, standar deviasi, minimum, maksimum, dan grafik distribusi frekuensinya.
Dengan menggunakan PopTools langkah simulasi ini akan jauh lebih mudah.

Menghapus Linked Account di MYOB?

Dari postinganku mengenai linked account muncul pertanyaan "Dapatkah kita menghapus linked account di MYOB?"
Sampai saat ini MYOB (versi 17) tidak menyediakan fasilitas untuk menghapus, kita hanya diperkenankan melakukan edit pada linked account, seperti yang sudah aku jelaskan di artikel linked account, kemudian setelah di-edit baru akun-akun yang standar yang telah dipindahkan linked-nya dapat dihapus, kecuali ada beberapa akun yang tidak dapat di-edit linked-nya seperti Retained Earning dan Current Year Earning. Kita hanya dapat mengedit no akun dan nama akunnya.

Micrsoft Excel dapat digunakan untuk membantu melakukan perhitungan PPh Pasal 21 termasuk metode Gross up untuk tunjangan pajak karyawan. Perhitungannya pun cukup sederhana, dan dapat digunakan sebagai calculator PPh Pasal 21.
Sebelumnya pastikan setingan regional pada control panel di windows anda berada pada pilihan Indonesian.
Berikut langkah-langkah pembuatan sheet 'Calculator PPh Pasal 21':
1. Siapkan sheet untuk tabel PTKP

Beri nama tabel (seleksi sel B5:B12, kemudian Insert>Name>Define) dengan nama PTKP.
Asumsi nilai PTKP sesuai yang berlaku saat postingan ini saya buat.

2. Siapkan sheet untuk Perhitungan PPh Pasal 21

Kasus berikut misal Budi karyawan tetap dengan data sbb:

Contoh di atas untuk asumsi PKP s/d Rp. 25.000.000,-
Untuk yang PKP > 25juta silahkan memodifikasi sel C18 (PPh Pasal 21 Setahun) dengan fungsi logika bertingkat.

Untuk metode gross up, anda dapat memanfaatkan fasilitas Tools > Gool Seek.

QuickBooks is also available as software as a service, which Intuit calls QuickBooks Online Edition. The user pays a monthly subscription fee rather than an upfront fee and accesses the software exclusively through secure logon via a web browser. Intuit hosts all of the user's data, and provides patches and regularly upgrades the software automatically.

Judul saya tadi mungkin mewakili para pencari software akuntansi di Indonesia atau paling tidak saya sendiri. Murah dalam asumsi saya dibawah Rp. 100.000. Berkualitas artinya feature-nya cukup lengkap tidak hanya 'general ledger', tapi mencakup purchase, ,sales, payment hingga export data ke excel.

Saya coba ubek-ubek di Internet dengan google dan yahoo. Susah juga ternyata. Kalau yang berbahasa Inggris sih banyak, gimana yang berbahasa Indonesia?

Let's assume you want to record the deposit of $10,000 cash in the business bank account to fund the initial activities of the company.

Go to the Banking command centre and click Receive Money window appears.
Click the Deposit to Account radio button. Cheque Account appears automatically in the adjacent field.
Type date (x/x/xx) in the Date field and pres Tab.
The Payor field is where you can record the writer of the cheque. However, leave it blank in this example.
Tab to the Amount Received field and enter $10,000 (simply enter 10000 and the amount will be formatte correctly).
Tab to the Payment Method field and type Cash.
Tab to the Memo field and type Initial funding of the company
Tab to the Account Name column. Here you specify an account that can explain the increase in the bank account selected at the top of the window. In accounting terms, you are increasing equity or your share of the business; therefore, the appropriate account to use would be the capital account.
Click the seach icon. The select from list window appears.
Double-click the equity account.
Tab to the Amount column. the ammount of $10,000 appears automatically.
Click Recod. The entry is saved and the windows cleared.
Click Cancel to return to the Banking command centre.

Congratulations! You have just completed the first entry in this tutorial.

It's simple to track money you spend and receive in your MYOB Accounting software. The Spend Money and Receive Money functions can be found in the Banking command centre. You can use the Spend Money window to record payments for purchase or expenses you won't be entering purchase orders for (using the Purchase command centre), such as postage, rent and owner drawings.

You can use the Receive Money window to record interest or record the miscellaneous cash receipts you receive. MYOB Accounting berbahasa Indonesia? Itulah yang banyak ditanyakan ke saya. Pertanyaan itu wajar semakin banyaknya orang di Indonesia memakai aplikasi ini. Memang sampai saat tulisan ini saya tulis MYOB belum (tidak?) mengeluarkan versi yang berbahasa Indonesia. Saat ini MYOB sudah sampai MYOB versi 17 dan yang Premier 11 tetapi belum ada tanda-tanda untuk berbahasa Indonesia, yang ada adalah MYOB versi Asia dengan pilihan regional International untuk Indonesia tetapi tetap berbahasa Inggris.

Linked Account di MYOB Accounting diibaratkan sebagai jalur sistem penghubung antara form pengisian data dengan posting ke jurnal. Jadi jika linked account tidak sesuai yang kita inginkan tentu saja hasil jurnalnya juga demikian.

Kita sudah sering mengenal Program-program akuntansi seperti DEA, MYOB, Quickbooks dll. Kali ini kita akan mengenal program Peachtree Accounting. Peachtree Accouting merupakan software akuntansi yang dikembangkan di Amerika. Program ini lumayan komplit feature dibanding pesaing-pesaing di kelasnya. Sekilas tidak mudah untuk memahami pemakaiannya, seperti halnya MYOB. Namun begitu saya sudah mencoba ternyata hanya butuh sedikit pembiasaan.

Beberapa tips yang mungkin bermanfaat:

1. Saat instalasi program pastikan alamat penyimpanan program, karena tidak disediakan pada saat membuat data baru.
2. Pilih tipe Build your own untuk membuat daftar akun berbahasa Indonesia
3. Buatlah daftar akun terlebih dahulu kemudian atur default-default program
4. Gunakan Peachtree versi 2003 atau diatasnya, karena versi sebelumnya beluam ada fasilitas credit memo secara khusus.

MYOB TIPS: Entering gift certificates in your MYOB product

It's easy to use your MYOB software to track the purchase and use of your company's gift certificates. Here's how you do it:

When a customer purchases a gift certificate, create an item invoice in the Sales window. In the Sales window, enter only the customer's name in the Customer field and the amount of the gift certificate in the Paid Today field. When you're finished making these two entries, click Record. A message will appear, warning you that the invoice has very little information. Click OK in the message to record the transaction.
When the gift certificate is redeemed, create an invoice to record the sale, just as you normally would record a sale.
Next, locate the transaction you entered in step 1 in either the Sales Register or the Settle Returns & Credits window (depending upon the version of the MYOB software you're using). Select the transaction and apply it to the invoice you created in step 2 when the customer redeemed the gift certificate. That's all there is to it!

Peactree Accounting Tips: Report Exporting

You can export reports and forms from ePeachtree to other locations. During the export process, you specify the report format and destination. The available formats include: Crystal Reports, Microsoft Excel, Micorsoft Word, and Rich Text. This allows you to modify the reports in the program specified by the format.

Another advantage of exporting reports from ePeachtree is that you will have access to the information even when you are not able to access the Internet.

Display the report you want to export.
Click the Export button on the toolbar.
On the Export dialog, select the destination for the exported file from the Save in drop-down list. Type a File name and select a file Type from the drop-down list. Then click the Save button. "This report has been exported. Would you like to open it?" appears.
Click OK if you want to view the report in the exported format.

MYOB Tips: How do I setup my company data file to record the various customer payment types?

Before recording your customer payments, you will first need to setup the Prepare Bank Deposit feature and your customer Payment Methods.

Prepare Bank Deposit
A linked banking account is all that's needed to use the Prepare Bank Deposit feature.

Please note:

If you have created a new company data file using one of the current MYOB program versions, the linked banking account will have been automatically setup for you. If so, then please skip to How do I use the Prepare Bank Deposit feature.

Step 1 Create a new banking account
To create a new banking account:
1. Click Lists > Accounts > Assets > New.
2. Click the Detail Account option.
3. Set Account Type to Bank.
4. Enter the Account Number and the Account Name (Undeposited Funds).
5. Click the Details tab and set the Tax Code to N-T. If desired, enter an account Description.
6. Click OK and return to the Command Centre
Step 2 Link the Undeposited Funds Account
Click Setup > Linked Accounts > Accounts & Banking Accounts. Enter the Undeposited Funds account in the Bank Account for Undeposited Funds Account field. Click OK and return to the Command Centre.

Payment Methods
To access the Payment Methods list, click Lists > Sales and Purchases Information > Payment Methods. The most common Payment Methods will most likely already be setup for you. To create a new Payment Method, click New, enter the Payment Method, set the Payment Type then click OK.

The Window on the following page shows the setup of a typical Payment Method.

Please note:
A Payment Method can be linked to a Customer Card. To do this, open the Customer's Card, click the Payment Details tab then set the customer's Payment Method. Depending on the which Payment Method has been selected, a set of fields maybe displayed for additional information; such as credit card details.

One of the oldest accounting packages for the PC, MYOB (Mind Your Own Business) is available in three versions: BusinessBasics, Accounting and Accounting Plus. All share the same interface, which reduces the chore of minding your own business. Here, we've looked at Accounting, the mid-range package aimed at small businesses.

New to version 16.0 is a number of features designed to speed up accounts management. A sales order can now be turned into a purchase order from the same data, MYOB contacts can be synchronised into Outlook, and bank reconciliations can be undone. Plus, there have been improvements to importing and exporting stock adjustments, payroll details and custom lists.
The new Payroll Verification report means that you can preview a payroll and review details for each employee, including wages, deductions and expenses. The software simplifies sending payment notification by drawing purchase numbers, dates and other details automatically from your accounts list into a customisable notification form. Central to this version is the Accounts List, which keeps tabs on assets, liabilities, capital, sales, income and expenses. However, while this database tracks your accounts, access to such things as banking, sales, purchases, VAT and payroll are all made via a simple front-end that streamlines each process as a chart. BELAJAR MYOB (BAGIAN 2)

Setelah anda masuk command centre, langkah selanjutnya adalah mendesain daftar akun.
Namun sebelumnya kita kenalan dulu dengan feature2 di MYOB :

Menubar, berada di bagian atas berisi menu konvensional seperti File, Edit, List dst.
Modul, berada di bagian jendela command centre berupa ikon2 / tombol bergambar seperti Account, Banking, Sales s/d Card File. Jika kita klik modul ini maka akan diikuti perubahan skema alur dibawahnya. Misal kita pilih modul Account, akan tampil pilihan dalam skema Account List, Record Journal Entry dst.
Panel, berada di bagian bawah dan terdapat pilihan dengan meng-klik drop down di samping kanannya. Panel2 tsb antara lain, To do list, Find Transaction, Report & Analyse

Setelah mengenal feature-nya kita akan mendalami dulu tentang struktur penomoran akun di MYOB. MYOB mempunyai struktur akun 5 digit : X - XXXX. Digit pertama menunjukkan kelompok akun :

1 : kelompok akun AKTIVA
2 : kelompok akun KEWAJIBAN
3 : kelompok akun MODAL
4 : kelompok akun PENDAPATAN
5 : kelompok akun HPP
6 : kelompok akun BIAYA
------ (MYOB tidak menyediakan akun berkepala 7)
8 : kelompok akun PENDAPATAN LAIN-LAIN
9 : kelompok akun BIAYA LAIN-LAIN

Sedangkan 4 digit berikutnya bisa dibuat sebagai struktur akun di bawahnya.
Tiap kelompok akun dimulai dengan no X - 0000. Berikutnya anda bisa buat pecahannya, misal :

1-0000 Aktiva
1-1000 Aktiva lancar
1-1100 Kas & Bank
1-1101 Kas
1-1102 Bank Muamalat ...... dst

SPSS merupakan software statistik paling populer, fasilitas & penggunaannya pun cukup familier.
Langsung aja ya ...
Masuk program SPSS (cari aja short cutnya ato lewat tombol start).
Tampilannya kaya' excel, perhatikan ada 2 sheet di bawah, yaitu Data View & Variable View. Untuk memasukkan data terlebih dulu ditentukan variabelnya (misal nama, berat badan, tinggi badan etc)yang bisa ada rinci di sheet variabel view.
name : diisi nama variabel misal nama
type : diisi tipe data misal numeric (untuk data angka) & string (untuk data text)
width : diisi jumlah karakter maksimal yang akan diinput dalam data view
decimal: diisi jumlah digit desimal
label : disii keterangan untuk variabel (boleh dikosongi)
value : untuk memberi kodifikasi value, misal Pria = 1 & wanita = 2
missing: untuk perlakuan data terhadap missing value (abaikan sesuai default)
align : untuk pengaturan tampilan perataan dalam data view, left-centre-right
measure: secara default akan terpilih Nominal jika variabel bertype string, dan akan terpilih Scale jika data bertype Numeric.

Setelah ditentukan variabelnya, sekarang tinggal mengisi data di sheet Data View.
Tinggal kita proses dulu lewat menu Data & Transform jika diperlukan.
Jika data sudah siap bisa kita analisa lewat menu Analyze, tinggal pilih aja alatnya apa misal Descrptive Statistic, Compare Means, Correlate, Regression dll.

> Isikan data perusahaan mulai nama perusahaan (company name) sd e-mail addrees kalo ada

> Tentukan Accounting Year, current financial year dipilih tahun akhir periode akuntansi, last month dipilih bulan akhir periode akuntansi, conversion month dipilih bulan konversi/bulan data awal di MYOB, & number of accounting period biarkan pada pilihan twelve

> Pilih pilihan Build your account list, kalo mau buat akun dalam bahasa indonesia sebaiknya pilih i would like to import ... (supaya lebih mudah menambah akun)
> Klik change untuk menempatkan data mau disimpin dimana (bebas, misal di MY Document)

Saat ini hampir semua bidang telah terambah komputerisasi, tak terkecuali bidang akuntansi, hal ini tentu saja juga menumbuhkan peluang usaha, misalnya penjualan software akuntansi, konsultan IT, tenaga edukasi, implementator software, dll. Kebetulan saya juga bersinggungan dengan komputerisasi akuntansi ini, dalam hal ini saya menjadi tenaga edukasi khususnya komputerisasi akuntansi pada sebuah lembaga pendidikan di jogja, disamping itu saya juga beberapa kali menjadi implementator beberapa software akuntansi di beberapa perusahaan.

Kadang kita tidak mesti harus menguasainya, mungkin kita juga bisa memanfaatkan peluang ini, misal dengan menjadi distributor produk IT berbasis akuntansi, atau sebagai referensi dengan bekerja sama dengan para praktisi yang bergerak di bidang ini (tentu saja kita bisa mendapatkan fee dari sini). Copying & Pasting SPSS Tables & Graphs to MS Word

You can copy SPSS output (tables and graphs) easily to MS Word.

In the SPSS Output Viewer:

1. Select an output item (table or graph) by clicking on it once. (Double click will open the item for editing). A red arrow to the left of the object indicates that the item is active.
2. From the pull-down menus, choose Edit>Copy or Edit>Copy object.
Alternatively, right click the mouse button to get a drop down menu with the same options.
Copy objects” treats the SPSS item as a pixels (i.e, a picture). It will look exactly as in the SPSS output, but you will not be able to edit the item in MS Word. It is best for graphs.
The “Copy” option will transfer the information in a table, which you can then edit uses the Tables menu in MS Word. It is best for tables so that they can be edited into APA format in MS Word.

3. Go to a document in MS Word and choose Edit>Paste or Ctrl+V.
4. If you have problems with the size or positioning of a picture (such as an SPSS object or graph) in MS Word, right click on the object and choose “Format Picture”.
5. You can prevent a picture from floating with the text under the “Layout” tab. Choose “In line with text” as the wrapping style. The picture will now be fixed, and you can choose the exact point in the text where you want it to appear.

How to add lines,headers/subtotals to invoices/quotes

With MYOB BusinessBasics, MYOB Accounting, MYOB Accounting Plus, MYOB Premier and MYOB AccountEdge you can add lines, headers or subtotals to invoices or quotes. This makes it easy to separate and subtotal different categories of a sale or purchase. For example, a purchase might have a materials component and a time component. This feature lets you add a subtotal line for each component, giving your customers a quick breakdown of costs. Here are ways to use this feature.

To insert a blank line
1. Position the mouse pointer anywhere on the invoice/purchase line above which you want the blank line to appear.
2. Go to "Edit" menu and choose "Insert Line".

To insert a header and group several invoice/purchase lines
1. Position the cursor on the invoice/purchase line above which you want the header to appear.
2. Go to the "Edit" menu and choose "Insert Header". A blank line will appear in the scrolling list with the cursor positioned in the "Description" column.
3. Type the text for the header. (The text will appear in grey.)

To insert a subtotal
1. Position the mouse pointer on the first line below the invoice/purchase lines to be subtotalled.
2. Go to the "Edit" menu and choose "Insert Subtotal". A line will appear, displaying the subtotal of all the invoice/purchase lines above it.

To delete a blank line, line item, header or subtotal
1. Position the mouse pointer anywhere on the blank line, line item, header or subtotal you want to delete.
2. Go to the "Edit" menu and choose "Delete Line".

Mudahnya Uji Validitas & Reliabilitas Data (SPSS)

Jika saat ini anda sedang menyusun skpipsi dengan sedikit usaha anda nggak perlu repot-repot datang ke tempat konsultan skripsi (pasti mahal bo’) untuk menguji validitas & reliabilitas kuesioner anda.

Sumber data sebuah penelitian ada kalanya menggunakan data dari hasil kuesioner. Tentunya dalam penyusunan sebuah kuesioner harus benar-benar bisa menggambarkan tujuan dari penelitian tersebut (valid) dan juga dapat konsisten bila pertanyaan tersebut dijawab dalam waktu yang berbeda (reliabel).
Secara mudah kuesioner diuji cobakan dulu kepada responden sample (misal 30 responden).
Dalam spss langkah menentukan butir pertanyaan yang valid dapat dilakukan dengan mudah.
Langkahnya adalah sebagai berikut :

Analyse > Scale > Reliability Analysis
Pada bagian Statistic aktifkan kotak cek Item, Scale, Scale if item deleted.
Abaikan pilihan yang lain, klik Continue – OK.
Cara baca output:
Lihat pada bagian Item-total statistic pada kolom Corrected Item Total Correlation, nilai-nilai tersebut menunjukkan nilai korelasi butir-butir pertanyaan terhadap skor totalnya. Nilai hitung tersebut dibandingkan dengan r tabel (lihat ditabel dengan terlebih dulu mencari df-nya (derajat kebebasan) sesuai dengan datanya dan asumsi spss akan menggunakan tingkat signifikansi 5%).
Pengambilan kesimpulannya jika nilai hitung > dari nilai r-tabel maka butir tersebut dinyatakan valid. Perlu diperhatikan karena data adalah 1 arah (ke arah positif) maka nilai hitung yang bernilai negatif otomatis tidak valid. Jika masih ada butir yang tidak valid maka dikeluarkan (klik kanan pada nama variabelnya – Clear) kemudian diproses ulang (ulangi langkah Analyse > Scale > Reliability Analysis, dst) sampai mendapatkan semua butir valid.
Kemudian untuk menentukan reliabilitas bisa dilihat dari nilai Alpha jika nilai alpha lebih besar dari nilai r tabel maka bisa dikatakan reliabel. Ada juga yang berpendapat reliabel jika nilai r > 0,60.
Sekarang kuesioner telah siap untuk disebar ke responden yang ditargetkan.
Sebagai catatan untuk mencari nilai korelasi data juga bisa dilakukan lewat menu Analyse > Correlation > Bivariate.

Change the date format (MYOB Accounting)

A very common question, and very annoying if you can't get the date around the right way! As you have hinted at, MYOB reads the date format directly from the computer's Control Panel. Open up the Regional Settings control panel and be sure that the language is set to English (New Zealand). Then click on the Date tab at the top of the window and ensure that the Short Date Format is set to dd/mm/yyyy. The double 'd' at the beginning is very important; if it is set to d/mm/yyyy, some computers will still show the date as m/d/yyyy! Click Apply, and then OK. Restart the computer to ensure the new settings are taking full effect. Then restart MYOB and the date should be around the correct way.

Generally speaking, the MYOB data verification feature scans everything inside your company file - from the transaction entries you've made into the MYOB system to the computer code that makes up the basic foundation of any MYOB company file. To verify your company file:
> Select File from the menu
> Click on Verify Company File.

OPTIMISATION

You may want to use the MYOB Optimisation Assistant on a regular basis to keep your company file operating at its peak. The Optimisation Assistant can ensure that the file is operating efficiently, and it may resolve minor problems with the company file, as well.

To optimise your company file:
